THE BYRNE & SONS STORY
Bernard Byrne founded Byrne & Sons Plumbing & Heating in the 1940s and officially incorporated the business in 1950. As a Master Plumber, Bernard used his skills to aid the community with all of its heating and plumbing needs. As his business grew, Bernard’s son, Tom, and son-in-law, Frank Allaire joined the family business. Because of his success, Bernard Byrne was able to retire early and leave the business in the hands of his son, Tom. After Tom’s seven-year apprenticeship to become a Master Plumber, he saw an opportunity for growth and purchased another long-standing plumbing business, MJ Donnelly. In the early 70s, Master Plumber, Frank Allaire, and long-time Byrne & Sons Salesman, Jerry Sullivan took over the business.
Current Byrne & Son’s Owner, Bernard Allaire joined the business in 1973 under the supervision of his father. Bernard became a Master Plumber, took over the business in the early 90s, and began creating partnerships with major brands in the industry. Bernard’s younger brother, Jerry Allaire came on board, eventually opening an irrigation sector of the business and a second location. While Bernard had two daughters who forged their own career paths, Bernard hired Lee Rosenthal with the intention of having him operate the business after his eventual retirement. Lee Rosenthal has been responsible for adding to the trusted family name with modern technology concepts. Lee is also set to finish his apprenticeship and become a Master Plumber within the next year.
Over the last 70 years, Byrne & Sons Plumbing & Heating has remained a trusted name in the business for both commercial and residential clients. Specializing in all plumbing and heating needs, Byrne & Sons looks forward to its continuing presence in the community.
